A Figma Design System Your Designers and Developers Both Use

One source of truth for colours, type, spacing and components, in Figma and in code. New screens take hours instead of days, and they always match.

  • 1Audit of your current UI
  • 2Tokens synced from Figma to code
  • 3Documented, variant-rich components
  • 4React or Flutter library on request

In Short

What Is a Figma Design System?

A Figma design system is a shared library of design tokens (colour, type, spacing, radius), components with all their variants and states, and usage rules, published so every designer works from the same parts. The best ones are mirrored in code, so a button in Figma and a button in your app are the same thing. LitSpark builds both sides and keeps them in sync.

What We Build

Design System Work, End to End.

  • UI Audit

We inventory every colour, font and button in your product and show where inconsistency costs you time.

  • Design Tokens

Colour, type, spacing and radius as Figma variables, with light and dark modes and brand themes.

  • Component Library

Buttons, forms, tables, modals and navigation with every size, state and variant, built with auto layout.

  • Coded Components

Matching React or Flutter components, so developers stop rebuilding the same UI.

  • Documentation

Usage rules, do and don't examples and accessibility notes in Storybook or Zeroheight.

  • Adoption and Governance

Contribution rules, versioning and training so the figma design system stays alive after we leave.

How It Works

How We Build Your System.

  1. 01

    Audit

Screenshot and catalogue your current UI and its inconsistencies.

  2. 02

    Foundations

Tokens for colour, type, spacing and elevation, agreed first.

  3. 03

    Core Components

The 20–30 components that cover most of your screens.

  4. 04

    Code and Docs

Components mirrored in code and documented.

  5. 05

    Roll Out

Migrate key screens and train your team.

When You Need One

Signs It's Time for a Design System.

  • Several Products

Web app, mobile app and admin panel that look like three companies.

  • Growing Teams

More designers and developers, and every one invents their own button.

  • Slow Releases

Simple screens take days because nothing is reusable.

  • Rebrands

Change colours once in tokens, not in 400 screens.

Why LitSpark

Why Teams Build Their System With Us.

  • Designers and Developers in One Team

Figma and code built side by side, so they actually match.

  • Start From What You Have

We extract the system from your product instead of inventing a new look.

  • Accessible by Default

Contrast, focus states and sizes checked against WCAG 2.1 AA.

  • Made to Last

Versioning and contribution rules, so it grows with your product.

Before You Start a Design System.

  • How many products will use it?
  • Do we need light and dark modes?
  • Which framework does our app use?
  • Who will own the system after launch?
  • Which screens should move to it first?
  • Do we need multiple brand themes?

FAQ

Design Systems, Answered.

What is the difference between a UI kit and a design system?

A UI kit is a set of drawn components. A design system adds tokens, rules, documentation and matching code, so a whole team can build consistent screens without asking a designer each time.

How long does it take to build a figma design system?

Foundations and core components take two to three weeks. A full Figma system takes four to six weeks, and adding a coded library usually takes six to ten.

Can you build a design system from our existing product?

Yes, and we recommend it. We audit your current screens, keep what works and standardise the rest, so users don't face a jarring redesign.

Do you use Figma variables?

Yes. Tokens are built as Figma variables with modes for themes, and exported as JSON so code stays in sync.

Who maintains the design system after launch?

Your team, with the governance rules and training we provide. We also offer a monthly retainer for new components and updates.
